Kate Neilsen, née Griffiths, of The Rock, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, following a long and difficult battle. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends at the time of her passing, bringing comfort during her final moments.

Kate’s death marks a heartbreaking loss for her family and the wider community, where she was dearly loved and remembered for the special place she held in the lives of those around her.

She was an incredible and devoted wife to Dean, sharing a life built on love, companionship and family. She was also a loving mother to Chloe and Jock, and a cherished Nan to her grandson, Huxley. Her role within her family was one she held close, and the memories created with them will remain treasured.

Kate was the beloved daughter of Alan and Gayle Griffiths and a much-loved sister to Ben. The Griffiths family was formerly associated with “Ravensfield” at Booligal, adding another chapter to Kate’s connection to the local community and the people who knew her throughout her life.

Her long battle was difficult, but Kate faced the challenges of her illness with the love and support of those closest to her. Having her family and friends around her at the end reflected the deep bonds she shared with them.
