Parker Mitchell Obituary, Rochester NY, Death: 11-Year-Old Dies After Reported Go-Kart Accident in Darien

Parker Mitchell, an 11-year-old reportedly from Greece, New York, is being remembered following a tragic go-kart accident in the Town of Darien that claimed the life of a young boy over the weekend.

According to reports identifying the victim as Mitchell, the accident occurred on September 6, 2026, when a go-kart carrying two children rolled into a pond on Fargo Road. The 11-year-old boy became trapped underwater and was later transported by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where he was pronounced dead. An 8-year-old girl involved in the incident was treated and released.

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office reportedly responded to the scene at approximately 2:32 p.m. after receiving a call about the rollover. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
