Puka Nacua’s Ex-Girlfriend Hallie Aiono Opens Up About ‘Betrayal’ and ‘Abuse’ as NFL Review Continues

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is facing renewed scrutiny after his former girlfriend, Hallie Aiono, publicly described her experience during their relationship as involving “extreme betrayal, abuse” and neglect.

Aiono discussed the relationship in a TikTok video posted Sunday, explaining that she has decided to seek professional help for the emotional impact of what she says she experienced. She said the private events of the relationship had affected her mental health more deeply than matters that became public.

Aiono and Nacua were reportedly together for about four years and share a son, Kingston. Their relationship previously became public during a paternity dispute, bringing increased attention to their personal lives.

In her recent video, Aiono did not provide specific details of the alleged abuse. Her comments nevertheless arrive as Nacua remains under NFL review following a series of offseason controversies.

Nacua is also facing a civil lawsuit filed by Madison Atiabi, who has accused the receiver of assault, battery, gender violence and negligence over an incident at a New Year’s Eve gathering. Nacua’s attorney has strongly denied the allegations and characterized the lawsuit as an extortion attempt. The claims remain allegations and have not been established in court.

The NFL is separately reviewing Nacua’s conduct under its Personal Conduct Policy. As of the latest reports, the league had not announced a suspension, leaving uncertainty over whether the 25-year-old receiver will be available when the Rams begin their regular season against the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne on September 10.

For Aiono, the latest disclosure appears to be part of a broader effort to address the personal toll of the relationship. For Nacua, it adds another layer to an already complicated offseason as he prepares for the 2026 NFL season.

The allegations remain unproven, and neither Aiono’s statements nor the separate civil lawsuit should be treated as findings of wrongdoing.
