Ian John Selwood Dies at 58 After Passing Away at Home, Remembered as a Beloved Husband and Father

At the family’s request, the passing of Ian John Selwood has been announced with great sadness.

Ian passed away peacefully at home on 3 September 2026, aged 58 years. His death has left his family and loved ones mourning the loss of a much-loved husband, father and stepfather.

Ian was the beloved husband of Joanne and a devoted dad to Isabel. He was also a caring stepfather to Sam and Toby. He was the son of David and the late Maureen, and will be remembered with love by his family and those who knew him.

His passing marks a difficult time for those closest to him, who will now cherish the memories they shared with Ian and the lasting impact he had on their lives.

Ian’s funeral service will be held at Kingsdown Crematorium on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, at 11:30am, providing family and friends with an opportunity to come together, pay their respects and celebrate his life.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, family flowers only are requested. Those wishing to honour Ian’s memory are invited to make donations in lieu of flowers to Macmillan Cancer Support.
