Philip Jack “Phil,” late of Benjamin Court, Glen Eden, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, aged 73 years. Phil was a beloved husband to Ellen and a loving father and father-in-law to Patricia and Brett, Kerry and Steven, and Samantha and Mark. He was also a devoted Pop and Grand Pop to Melina, Caitlin, Jack, Brooke, Alexis, Logan, Reece, Josh, Connor, Olivia, Lachlan, Rhyda, Sailor-Rose, Arina, Phoenix and Levi. Beyond his immediate family, Phil was a loving brother and uncle and a treasured friend to many. His sudden passing has left his family, relatives and friends facing the difficult loss of someone who held a special place in their lives. Phil’s family will remember him not only as a devoted husband, father and grandfather, but also as a man whose relationships with those around him mattered deeply. The many family connections he leaves behind stand as a lasting part of his legacy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Phil’s funeral service, where family and loved ones will come together to honour his life and say their final farewell. The service will be held at Boyne Tannum Memorial Parklands, Crematorium Chapel, Pioneer Drive, Boyne Island, on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, commencing at 1:00 pm. The gathering will provide an opportunity for those who knew Phil to share memories, offer support to his family and celebrate the life of a much-loved husband, father, Pop, brother, uncle and friend. Phil will be deeply missed by Ellen, his children, grandchildren, wider family and the many friends whose lives he touched. May he rest peacefully.
