CONWAY, S.C. — Annie Gayle Hucks, 33, of Conway, South Carolina, has died following a three-vehicle crash on Middle Ridge Avenue near West Perry Road on Friday evening, August 28, 2026. The fatal collision also left three other people hospitalized, according to information attributed to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at approximately 5:27 p.m. as three vehicles were traveling along Middle Ridge Avenue. According to Corporal Nick Pye, two vehicles were traveling northbound when a third vehicle traveling southbound sideswiped one of them before striking the vehicle driven by Hucks.

Hucks, who was identified as the driver of the second vehicle, suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers who were traveling in her vehicle were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the third vehicle was also taken to a hospital. Their conditions have not been publicly released.

The driver of the first vehicle involved in the crash was not reported to have suffered injuries. Emergency responders worked at the scene as investigators began examining the circumstances that led to the three-vehicle collision.
