DELTA, Ala. — Brock J. Roark, 34, of Delta, Alabama, has died alongside a 13-year-old passenger from Villa Rica, Georgia, following a fatal ATV crash in Clay County on Sunday evening, August 30, 2026. The tragedy has left two families mourning after the recreational outing ended in a devastating collision. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Good Hope Delta Road near Crutchfield Drive, about seven miles southwest of Delta. Roark was operating a 2025 Can-Am Outlander 850 ATV when the vehicle departed the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Roark was thrown from the ATV during the crash and suffered fatal injuries. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where he was pronounced dead. The 13-year-old passenger was also ejected from the ATV and transported to an area hospital for treatment but later died from injuries sustained in the collision. The identities of the young passenger’s family have not been publicly released, and the child’s name has not been disclosed because of the victim’s age. The deaths have brought grief to both the Delta community in Alabama and Villa Rica in Georgia. For Roark’s loved ones, his death represents the sudden loss of a 34-year-old family member and friend. Those closest to him are now left to remember his life and the moments they shared while coping with the circumstances of his unexpected passing. The fatal incident remains under investigation by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
