Stephanie Comeau, 46, of Cleveland, Nova Scotia, is being remembered by family, friends and members of the Richmond County community following her death during the severe storm and flooding that struck Cape Breton.

Comeau was reported missing as heavy rain and strong winds caused widespread flooding across parts of the region. More than 200 millimetres of rain fell in some areas, damaging roads, bridges and other infrastructure. Her vehicle was later found near a flooded bridge, and her body was discovered a short distance away.
